A Prisoner of Time and Space.. زمان و مکان میں قید

 

اس طرح میرا  خون  رواں  کرو گے کیا؟

کوئی امید دلا کے، دل جواں کرو گے کیا؟

Will you make my blood boil

Again?

Give me hope

To restart a dead heart?

 

کیوں ہو ابھی  تک،   زمان و مکان میں قید؟

یہ زماں تمہارا بھی ہو، تو زماں کرو گے کیا؟

And why are you a prisoner

In a prison of time and space

And even if you controlled time

What would you do with it?

 

ہاں  تیرے  سوا  اور  بھی  الجہنیں  لی ہیں

یہ بھول ہوئی مجھ سے، شماُ کرو گے کیا؟

I confess I have taken

Some distractions beyond you

It was a mistake

Can you forgive me?

 

پیرِ حرم سے پوچھ  کتنے  فرقے  بناے گا؟

پھر کچھ بت کعبے میں، جمع کرو گے کیا؟

Ask the preacher

How many factions will he make?

Does he plan to gather

A few idols for worship?

 

کس سے تشبیه لو گے اپنے حسن کی؟

مقابلِ  نورِ  آفتاب،  شمع کرو گے کیا؟

And what comparison

Is acceptable to your beauty?

Should I bring a candle

To compete with the sun?

 

الراشی و لمرتشی  کلاھما  فن  نار

پھرمالِ حرام کی، طمع کرو گے کیا؟

The one who seeks and gives

Money through wrongful means

Shall burn

Do you still desire ill found wealth?

 

اٹھا لے سجدے سے سر اے دلِ ریاکار

اسی سجدے میں اور، گناہ کرو گے کیا؟

Do not engage in empty ritual

When your heart is not in it

Will you commit another sin

As you pretend to be pious?

 

استاد کوئی بات تو، آج خدا کی کرو

یاں وہی بتوں کا، گلہ کرو گے کیا؟

Will you please speak of

Something holy today?

Or will you continue

To complain about unholy things?
